Trust Fox News to plug climate change denial. The Murdoch media seems to be willing to publish all sorts of lies that suit their more generous advertisers.

The fossil carbon extraction industry isn\'t all that fond of electric vehicles

I wonder if the storm causes damage to the body of the car too? Looks to me like the hood of that car was severely damaged. Was it in an accident perhaps?

\"There’s a ton of EVs disabled from Ian\". A \"ton\" would be about a half a car.

The Fox article says, \"It is unclear how many EVs were impacted or destroyed by the storm.\"

Looks like Jan was hit by a piece of sky falling.

IIRC James Bond had a car that also could be used as boat.
Maybe something for you perhaps? Ask Q to make you one?

I have also read Mr Mushk has decided his new cars no longer need radar and ultrasonic sensors
and is now \'leaving out\' the auto-parking etc... \'until he got the stuff working with cameras\'
That include leaving out the distance detectors in the bumpers.
Wonder how he does the camera thing if you cannot see the rear, maybe a camera in the bumper..
Poor Mushk, now stuck with Twitter, all his money down the drain as after the nuking
no electrickety, no twitter, no cars...

Makes one wonder as ultrasonic sensors are abut 3 USD now on ebay how short of cash the poor man must be.

The procedure for safeing a damaged battery for the lil Mitsubishi
i-MieV electric city car from a about a decade ago (every six months or
so I see one on the road, still, hardly fancy but seems like it was a
reliable enough vehicle), is to assemble a 2 foot deep pool of water
large enough to hold the car, open some valves and deposit the whole car
into it using a forklift.

Mitsubishi-approved technique, it\'s in the service manual.

A modern vehicle that has been submerged in water even briefly is a total loss. And if it\'s been submerged in saltwater, that\'s a double forget it, the vehicle is doubly a loss. It may take some time, but that vehicle will develop intermittents and bad connections all throughout critical control subsystems to no end. The vehicle should be sent to a scrap yard. But in America, a nation of thieving trash, you just watch the black market of cut rate cars for sale AS IS get full with this defective junk.

Probably the result of propaganda, not necessarily by the government. The
same sort of thing affected Americans regarding the \'commies\' and again
a few decennia later regarding the French. I may have missed a few. Public
opinion is so easily manipulated, it\'s scary.

Leave it to Bozo to change the subject to climate change. This IS NOT about climate change OR global warming; it IS about a new hazard involving EVs that owners in flood prone areas need to be aware of.

\"There’s a ton of EVs disabled from Ian\". A \"ton\" would be about a half a car.

Leave it to a libtard to IGNORE the central issue and nitpick common phraseology. For your edification, a \"ton\" in this context means \"a lot,\" NOT a unit of measure.

The Fox article says, \"It is unclear how many EVs were impacted or destroyed by the storm.\"

Which is TRUE!
